Devil doer is the common name for a flowering plant in the genus Strychnos. There are multiple species of devil doer, including Strychnos toxifera, Strychnos mitscherlichii, and Strychnos diaboli. 

 

Species of devil doer Strychnos toxifera: Also known as bush rope, this plant is native to Central and South America. It is the main source of curare, which is used to make gourds and calabash. Strychnos mitscherlichii: This plant is known as the common devil doer. Strychnos diaboli: This plant is also known as the devil doer.
